What is Waiora?

Waiora is a shared community space designed to support wellbeing, creativity, and collaboration. We house over 25 social services across our Tauhara and Ruapehu Wings, and offer meeting rooms, event spaces, and flexible work options in the main building with a welcoming and professional environment.

Do you offer long-term working spaces or offices?

Yes! Waiora’s co-working area is a vibrant, shared environment home to a range of services. Currently, all desks and offices are fully occupied. If you’d like to be notified when a space becomes available, simply head to the ‘Become a Member’ tab and click ‘Join Waitlist’ to submit your details.

Do you offer after-hours bookings?

Yes, by arrangement. Let us know your needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate outside our regular hours.

Can I book a meeting room casually?

Yes! Our spaces are available for one-off bookings at the non-member rate. You can view these rates under the ‘Our Spaces’ tab and click the “View our room rates” button. You can get in touch with our team via phone or email to arrange a casual booking.

How do I pay for my booking and membership?

Waiora operates on 7-day invoicing from the commencement of your booking. If you’re a member, you also have the option to add a credit card to your account—booking charges can then be automatically applied to your nominated card on file, making things quick and easy.

Is there support staff on-site?

Absolutely. Our friendly team is here during business hours (8.30 am - 5.00 pm) Monday to Friday, to welcome you, answer any queries and make sure your booking runs smoothly.

Do you offer hot desks?

Yes! We offer ‘Desk For A Day’ (when available) and a waitlist form for when spaces are full. It's a great option for freelancers, remote workers, or anyone needing a space for the day.

Do you provide catering or refreshments?

We don’t provide in-house catering, but you’re welcome to bring in your own or work with local providers. We can recommend nearby options if needed. We offer tea/coffee/sugar and milk for small bookings, but ask you to provide your own for bigger bookings. Please note: WAIORA IS A DRY VENUE - STRICTLY NO ALCOHOL
